A Chartered Legal Executive is a qualified lawyer and is one of the three recognised legal professionals. The work of a Chartered Legal Executive is very similar to that of a solicitor and many Chartered Legal Executives work in solicitor's firms or in large organisations that contain in-house legal teams. If you complete the first two years you will be a Level 3 Qualified Paralegal with CILEx. In order to become a Legal Executive, however, you need to continue your studies by taking the two years at Level 6 and completing qualifying employment. We offer the academic element of the qualifications and you will need to deal with CILEx direct in relation to student and professional membership of CILEx, exams registration and some course materials.
