<p>This higher apprenticeship is for those already in, or seeking a career in electrical and electronic engineering, covering the use of microprocessors, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), power systems and control. Much of the learning will focus around live projects briefs, real case studies and work-related scenarios.</p>In order to start on this programme you must be employed. Examples of progression routes into this apprenticeship include:• A Levels in relevant Science or Technology subjects• EDEXCEL (BTEC) Diploma: Level 3 Engineering with Distinction including Further MathsFunctional Skills Level 2 or GCSE's (grade A-C) in Maths and English are required for entry to this apprenticeship.Skills and attributes• Excellent maths skills• Ability to learn quickly and apply learning in the workplace• Ability to solve problems• Methcdical approach to work• Ability to communicate and work effectively with a range of people
