<p><strong>You will study the following topics:</strong></p> <p>- Preparing to work within an ethical framework for counselling</p> <p>- Understanding the counselling relationship</p> <p>- Understanding difference and diversity issues to develop empathic understanding</p> <p>- User-centred approach to counselling</p> <p>- Using counselling theory to develop self-awareness in counselling practice</p> <p>- Understanding theories of counselling and mental health</p> <p>- Using feedback reflection and supervision to support counselling studies</p> <p> </p> <p>Please note that learners attending Counselling courses are required to be in college for five hours a week. Classes run once a week from 3.45pm to 9pm and at interview you will be asked to confirm that you can meet this commitment.</p>
