Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Team Leading

This apprenticeship is designed for applicants who are in paid employment within Team Leading, to achieve the theory and practical elements of the qualifications which recognise the skills they gain in the workplace. This course is designed to provide practising team leaders with the foundation for their formal development within this role. It provides both a knowledge based element and a competence based element. The course has two primary objectives - to assist participants in gaining knowledge required by a team leader and to develop and assess team leading skills in the workplace.Level 2 Diploma in Team LeadingThe competence based element will include three mandatory units: -Managing Personal development (4 Credits) -Develop Working Relationships with Colleagues (3 Credits) -Communicate information and Knowledge (3 credits) A minimum of 17 credits are needed for the qualification. So in addition to the units above candidates must select units from the optional groups in order to achieve the full qualification. The competence based element will be achieved in the workplace through building a portfolio.The Knowledge based element comprises of the ILM Level 2 Diploma in Team leading and will include three Mandatory units: -Developing yourself as a team leader (1 credit) -Motivating the Team to perform (1 credit)) -Planning and monitoring work (2 credits) A minimum of thirteen credits are required for the qualification. The option units will be discussed to meet the roles and responsibilities in the workplace.Employment rights and responsibilities will be integrated into the programme together with the six outcomes from personal learning and thinking skills.
