The course is an introduction to core programming skills. Using the Python programming language you will learn and develop skills in: - How to Structure a program with Sequence, Selection and Iteration - Managing the Scope of a program, including variables and functions - Defining different types of data and applying data handling techniques. - Differentiating between number systems and how they are represented in a computer system - Understanding and designing program flow using logic - Developing simple algorithms to solve problems - Designing and Prototyping discreet software applications - How to plan and carry out effective testing of programs
