Cookery: Japanese/Oriental Cookery

Cooking and eating together are central to everyday life in Japan. On this course you will learn how to prepare and cook a range of popular and traditional Japanese and Oriental dishes, discover the history of the cuisine and the background and health benefits of the interesting and delicious ingredients you will be using; you will discover the best places locally and online to source your ingredients. You will be preparing dishes such as Karaage (a chicken dish), miso soup, sushi, teriyaki salmon, dumplings, Nick-Jaga (a popular stew), Gomoku-gohan (lucky number 5 toppings) and Harumaiki (spring roll). Also suitable for vegetarians.
