This is a one year course that will enable you to take the GCSE exam in June 2017. The course culminates in formal exams: Reading of texts (50%), Creative Writing (20%) and Persuasive/Transactional Writing (20%). It is also necessary to give a presentation or speech. The course requires you to be organised. You will need to keep notes, be able to proofread and check writing tasks for errors and to speak in front of others in an assessed environment.
