The Golden Age of European Painting

This course is aimed at anyone who would like to know more about European painting between 1850-1910. It will be a basic introduction to selected art movements during this period including Arts and Crafts, Secessionism and Post-Impressionism. Artists and their work will be studied each week so that students can gain an insight into how the periods link together and why they were seen to be so important during this era.
