The Beginners' Workshop provides a practical introductory workshop for individuals who want to use Makaton in everyday situations. Signing instruction is given for Core Vocabulary Stages 1-4 and Additional. Makaton symbols are included and examples of their use are given. Methods for implementing and using Makaton are discussed and developed. Teaching is in groups of up to 12 and is practical and informal. By the end of the course, delegates will be able to sign in everyday situations whilst telling stories and singing. There will be a £27.50 charge towards the Workshop Manual.
