The Level 1 Award in Business and Administration is designed to meet the needs of candidates who work or want to work in an administrative support role. Suitable for the young or adult learner this foundation learning qualification covers essential skills and knowledge related to working in a business environment which can be transferred to any type of organisation and industry. With the Award the candidate will learn how to follow work procedures and carry out routine administrative tasks such as handling mail and filing. Units achieved within this qualification can contribute to the Level 2 Award/ Certificate/Diploma in Business and Administration and so provide the candidate with a focussed progression route. Alternatively the candidate can pursue a more specialist administrative route through other qualifications.

It is imperative that learners attend the training so they will develop a responsible and co-operative approach to working on their own and in groups during the training.
