If you are in full or part-time work within a childcare situation, or working as a volunteer in one, then this may be the qualification for you. It is divided into a number of units of competence. Some units are essential and focus on children's physical needs, children's physical, social, emotional, sensory and intellectual development, children's behaviour and their communication needs. Other units are chosen to reflect the work you do on a daily basis.
