Would you like a recognised qualification that evidences your specialist role in teaching? This Level 5 programme enables you to achieve a specialist qualification in teaching learners with disabilities. This course is delivered at Derby College and is awarded by City & Guilds. It has been developed for teachers who hold a generic teaching qualification or untrained teachers who have significant experience of teaching. You will study three modules at Level 5. These are designed to facilitate you to critically evaluate the policy framework of SEND, both nationally and locally, and to explore your own professional practice.
