Level 2 Diploma in Skills for Sport (Olympic)

This Level 2 Sport study programme is designed for learners who have already studied the Certificate in Sport and are not advancing to a Level 3 programme due to their GCSE English or Maths grades. Learners will need to have completed the mandatory elements of the Certificate, including the externally set assessments and exams.

Name: Level 2 Diploma in Skills for Sport (Olympic) Qualification title: BTEC First Diploma in Sport Qualification type: Assessment You will build a portfolio based around evidence generated by the various assessment methods in each unit. You are expected to work on multiple assessments at any one time. You will be assessed through practical demonstrations, logbooks and performance records, written reports and essays, presentations, workbooks, discussions and vivas. Entry requirements

You are expected to purchase a uniform to wear at College and for practical sessions. The cost for this, which includes yearly gym membership, guest speakers and the end-of-year celebration, is likely to be around £100.   There may be additional events during the year to which you are expected to contribute. Financial assistance is available depending on your individual circumstances.   For applicants from outside the region or who travel over distance, the College has residential accommodation if required.
