Safeguarding Adults and Promoting Independence Work Placement Work placement is an integral part of the course. Students must complete a minimum of 2 separate placements per year (in one week blocks) and receive suitable progress reports to continue on the course. Learners will be expected to make contact individual placements and formalised by our placement officers. The College has a large data base of established relationships with individually vetted local employers. Additional Qualifications Whilst studying for the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health Science students may be given the opportunity to gain additional qualifications such as First Aid at Work and GCSEs/Functional Skills. It should be noted that student ability and timetable constraints might affect availability and choice.
