This course, which is validated by Staffordshire University, has been designed by employers to meet the needs of industry and commerce. It is a skills-based programme, which covers the many aspects of operating in a business environment and of how people relate in a work place. It explains how costing and accounting practices can be used, how an organisation is structured, managed and analysed. It also examines the roles of Marketing and Human Resources and how they interrelate with other departments to ensure business success. Course Content The modules studied in the first year include: Employability, Learning and Research Techniques; Organisational Resources; Human Resources/Operations Management; Financial and Legal Aspects of Business; Business Economics; Entrepreneurial Business. In the second year, the modules studied include: The Business Environment and Marketing Reponses; Employability, Reasoning and Project Management Skills; Designing and Managing Effective Organisations; Practical Research; Work Experience or Professional Choice. Also during the two years study you will be actively developing skills that will enhance your professional role at work.
