Designed for learners who have a reasonable grasp of the basics and can already 'get by' in Spanish (for example after a couple of years or more of evening classes), this conversational and practical course will build your confidence and help you to better engage in conversation with Spaniards and Latin Americans. Detailed course plan will be issued in week 2. Each session covers one or more themes (from staying at a hotel to discussing music you like) and also elements of grammar. There are a variety of activities and plenty of opportunity to put what you are learning into practice by speaking, in guided dialogues and pair-work. We do very little writing (though you are welcome to take notes should you wish too). The tone is informal and fun, but commitment is expected and a small amout of homework is set each week. We will mostly use the tutor's own worksheets and materials. Please bring pen and paper, and a willingness to take part and not worry about making mistakes. The course continues from last years' course but new learners who have learnt the basics elsewhere are expected and welcomed.
