The Principles of Art History

Understand the principles of the history of art from the Renaissance period to contemporary art, with this course that balances theoretical with practical ways of learning.  You will work chronologically each week to undertake discussion and practical exercises to understand the underpinning characteristics and theories associated with art movements. Each week you will have a short lecture, with some discussion to reinforce the main points the art period focussed on – followed by a practical exercise to enable you to understand the art period under discussion at a practical level.
