Felting

UPDATED 20160720 11:14:24

We will be exploring the unique wonders of Felting on this new exciting course. We will start by first exploring the basics of wet-felting using beautiful coloured wool, bubble wrap, netting, soap and a bamboo mat. Next we will move onto needle-felting using special felting needles and pads, exploring free-hand as well as using cookie cutters and polystyrene shapes. We will then experiment with combining the two felting techniques and adding embellishments, and finally the course will culminate with Cobweb or Nuno/Laminated felting. The projects will include a wet-felted hanging or placemat, a wet-felted 3D piece such as a bag, hat or soft toy, needle-felted jewellery, decorations and 3D figures or animals and finally a scarf or runner. Something for everyone – from beginners to improvers – just come along, have fun, be creative, learn new skills and best of all, take home some beautiful creations of your own.
