Drawing and Watercolour Painting - Beginners

UPDATED 20160720 11:14:07

Have you always wanted to be able to draw and paint but feel you are only capable of drawing matchstick men? If so, help is at hand to enable you to conquer your inhibitions and to pick up your paint brushes and palettes with confidence. Our three-term course is designed for complete beginners, giving you the confidence to produce artwork to be proud of! In the first two terms you will be introduced to a range of new skills: how to draw for the first time, how to give your drawings depth and breadth by capturing perspective, how to give them character by understanding tonal shading and colour mixing and how to create a context for your work by getting to grips with composition Alongside these techniques you will be introduced to watercolour paints and will gradually develop skills and medium until your first creations are ready for all to see. In the third term, you will develop your own rhythm of working and consolidate all you have learned under the caring eye of our tutor.
