Suitable for beginners and those with some experience. This course covers all the fundamentals of silk screen printing on cloth. This includes stretching mesh for a screen, coating a screen with light sensitive emulsion, designing an artwork to expose on a photo silk screen, mixing coloured print pastes, preparing cloth to print, printing and fixing colour. Students with experience are encouraged to develop personal design ideas and extend their technique through for example, colour separation or ombre printing.
