Saturday Printmaking: Beginners & Intermediate

This friendly course enables beginners and intermediate students to explore printmaking techniques giving them an understanding of intaglio and relief printmaking to develop personal projects. Exercises and demonstrations encourage different techniques including, drypoint, collagraph, etching, photo lithography.

Entry requirements

Please bring: a range of paintbrushes including soft and bristle brushes, and alternative drawing tools such as sticks, combs, pieces of card. Protective clothing is provided, or you can bring your own apron and rubber gloves. The course fee includes most studio consumables (ink, cleaning materials, solvents etc) but you will have to pay for paper and acrylic plates, etc. These are available to buy in the department at cost price. Further requirements will be discussed at the first and subsequent classes.
