For experienced students who want to further their skills and develop a personal and contemporary approach to painting. You will learn through self-directed studio practice, individual tutorials, technical demonstrations, lectures and group discussions. Entry by interview with portfolio of work.

Entry requirements

Materials will be provided for the first session but you should bring a sketchbook and notebook to every class. You will need your own materials, such as oil or acrylic paint, brushes, palette knife, charcoal, ink, etc. but these will vary depending on the direction your work takes as the course develops. A range of materials may be purchased at cost price from the Art Store during class. You will also need to put aside time during the week to do research on techniques and artists, visit exhibitions and do some artwork at home.
