Fashion Design: The Fast Fashion Sketch

UPDATED 20160720 09:44:59

Having the ability to rapidly catch the essence of a dress as you see it from a bus, or being able to quickly draw that fabulous pair of trousers as the woman wearing them walks past you, or sketching that outfit in the store window is a valuable skill used in all sectors and at all levels of the fashion industry. Taking inspiration from life as it happens around you is a priceless gift and can be used in many ways, from competitive shopping and briefing suppliers to catwalk reporting to visually communicate design information. The course will provide you with some key resources and strategies, and cover important aspects of designing using speed and accuracy. After spending the first day in the studio, the second day will be on location using the skills you have gained and replicate industry conditions. No previous experience of the subject is required.
