The course will offer a full and direct experience of the fascinating dialogue between architecture, gardens and art collections visiting two renowned neo-Palladian residences in London: Chiswick House (17 Jun) and Kenwood House (24 Jun). Exquisitely designed facades and interiors, carefully selected objects and works of art, well-preserved gardens and estates will vividly reveal the aspirations, dreams and anxieties of 18th-century society. First introductory session will be held at Morley College (10 Jun). You may wish to note that there will be a small admission fee at Chiswick House. For all abilities. Beginners welcome.
