This course combines art history and art making. Each week you will be learning about the wide range of works on display at the new Tate Modern as well as making your own work in response within the gallery. Focussing on Contemporary and Modern Art, you will examine work with a different focus each week, exploring a range of themes and ideas as well as a variety of approaches to art making. There will also be opportunities to learn about the new building and a history of its making from when ideas around the project was first discussed in 2004 to its completed in 2016.
