In this unit we continue to use the Cambridge Latin Course to follow the lives of Caecilius and his family until the momentous events of AD 79 when Mount Vesuvius erupted. Our attention then moves from the heart of Italy to a Roman province on the very edge of the Empire where it is cold and wet. Welcome to Britannia! This term we continue to study civilisation topics such as Roman education, elections and daily life in Roman Britain week by week, alongside further language work.
