Flamenco: Advanced & Repertoire

UPDATED 20160720 09:44:04

For students with significant previous flamenco dance experience and secure technique, this is a fast paced, challenging course. You will continue to develop and explore flamenco dance technique, vocabulary, style, mood and rhythms (including castanet work). You will use these skills in choreographies and improvisations and will build up a repertoire of dances in different flamenco 'palos'. You will have opportunities to perform with Morley Flamenco Dancers and to enrol on the flamenco performance course, "Morley Flamenco Dance Ensemble". The class is accompanied by a guitarist. All students will have access to the Morley Moodle Flamenco & Spanish Dance Site with information about the rhythms and dances studied and video links for practice purposes.
