Somatic Practice

UPDATED 20160720 09:44:01

These classes will draw on aspects of diverse body-mind techniques including Body Mind Centring, Skinner Releasing Technique and the principles of rolfing. They are designed to support individual development as dancers and performers. Experience gained from these sessions will underpin technical training in other forms of movement and performance. They aim to promote awareness of the body as it moves in space through attention to the breath, grounding, the senses, structural organization and alignment, whilst promoting suppleness and ease of movement.
