This Apprenticeship is ideal if you’re an aspiring electrician as it will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge. For example, you’ll learn how to: plan, prepare, organise, install and connect various types of cables and electrical conductors; test and confirm that a circuit/installation is suitable for use; locate and rectify faults or faulty conditions that may arise and above all else you’ll learn how to undertake work safely and in line with current legislation.This Advanced Apprenticeship is ideal if you have strong practical skills.Topics covered on the course include:Understanding environmental legislation, working practises and the principles of environmental technology systemsInspecting, testing, commissioning and certifying electrotechnical equipment and systems in buildings and structuresThe learning experience includes practical workshop lessons, plus the full support of industry experienced teaching staff and one-to-one support, if required.The facilities on this course are modern workshops where you do exercises using all types of wiring systems and a dedicated classroom, for experiments on electrical theory.Good English and maths skills are essential for success in studying and for future employment prospects and so Croydon College ensures that these skills are developed in all learning opportunities.It’s also important to have good English and maths qualifications and so all students will study English and maths and work towards an appropriate level and type of qualification including GCSE.If you are interested in this apprenticeship please register your details via our Apprenticeship registration system.You will then be able to apply for the many Apprenticeship vacancies we have available.
