CompTIA A+ is an internationally recognised introductory technology certification that covers hardware and operating systems security and environmental issues. It is developed in collaboration with major IT organisations to ensure it assesses the skills the IT industry is looking for. This course is for anyone who wants to learn more about the computer technology and certify their knowledge on computer systems operating systems and networking. A+ certification validates foundation-level knowledge and skills necessary for a career in IT support. It is the starting point for a career. The international vendor-neutral certification proves competence in areas such as installation preventative maintenance networking security and troubleshooting. Name: CompTIA A+ Qualification title: Non regulated provision, Level 3, ICT for Users Qualification type: Assessment In class assessments and portfolios. Formal exam. In order to receive the CompTIA A+ certification you must pass two external exams. CompTIA A+ 220-901 covers the fundamentals of computer technology installation and configuration of PCs laptops and related hardware and basic networking. CompTIA A+ 220-902 covers the skills required to install and configure PC operating systems as well as configuring common features (e.g. network connectivity and email) for mobile operating systems Android and Apple iOS.
