A UAL L2 Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology is a one year work-related course. You learn by completing practical projects that are based on realistic workplace situations activities and demands as well as completing some theory-based units. This course is designed to provide you with an introduction to both the creative and technical aspects of creative media production and to develop the required skills knowledge and understanding to progress to further education and employment within the creative industries. If you achieve an overall Merit on the course this is equivalent to four GCSEs at Grade C which means when you have finished the course you can choose whether to progress to either the L3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology or the A Level programme. This course is for you if you are interested in working in the Media production industries seeking a place on Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Diploma or A Levels keen to develop both your practical and theoretical skills over 16 What will I study? Students on the course are required to complete 8 units Introduction to Creative Media Methods & Skills Introduction to Production Techniques in Creative Media Understanding an Audience in Creative Media Production Contextual Research for Creative Media Production Exploring Audio Production & Technology Exploring Video Production & Technology Exploring Interactive Media Production & Technology Personal Project & Presentation in Creative Media Production (Final major Project)

Name: UAL L2 Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology Qualification title: Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology (QCF) Qualification type: Other regulated/accredited qualification Assessment Students' performance is graded via a combination of practical and written coursework. Course units are assessed throughout the year building towards a final project which brings together the various skills you have learned. Each unit addresses a different area of Art Design & Media and all units must be passed to successfully pass the course. Work is assessed and internally verified and feedback is provided both in writing and verbally. Final grades are agreed by a UAL external moderator. GCSE English & Maths As part of their overall Study Programme students will also be required to attend FS/GCSE English and/or Maths classes if they have yet to achieve a GCSE Grade C in either subject.
