The BTEC Firsts in Health and Social Care have been developed to provide learners with a stimulating and engaging introduction to the health and social care sector. They present learners with knowledge, skills and understanding in a meaningful, work-related context, allowing them to understand both the theories and their application. Within this qualification there are two externally assessed exams, Unit 1 Human Lifespan Development and Unit 9 Healthy Living.
