Studying for this programme will enable the candidate to prepare statements of account. Reconcile ledger accounts to supplier statements of account. Account for Bad Debts. Prepare control accounts to reconcile the sales and purchase ledgers. Reconcile cash book balances. Make adjustments for errors in the ledger accounts using the journal. Prepare a suspense account to clear errors in the ledger accounts prior to the preparation of a Trial Balance. Calculate working capital from the cash book and identify differences. Prepare a trading, profit and loss accounts after making adjustments for depreciation, accruals and prepayments. Prepare a balance sheet following the profit and loss account.
