A Course for: Those wanting to progress their education in Plumbing Studies. This is a 1 year course covering both practical and theoretical plumbing techniques including key plumbing principles and common processes, cold water and domestic hot water systems, central heating systems and electrical supply and earth continuity. You will learn essential plumbing skills in our plumbing workshops where excellent facilities are provided to give you the opportunity to work to a realistic scale. In addition you will learn and develop important employability skills such as effective working relationships, safe working practices and communication. Practical assessments are undertaken within the workshop environment as well as completion of unit phase tests. Entry requirements are four GCSEs A-C including Maths and English and a practical subject specific initial assessment in addition to an informal interview. Early application is recommended due to the popularity of these courses.
