GCSE Maths

UPDATED 20160715 14:38:24

Our courses are designed to develop skills and knowledge in maths and the chance to gain a 9 - 1 grade GCSE. We do offer alternative paces to accommodate those that are less comfortable with some topics and for more confident and experienced maths learners who are comfortable with a wider range of topics . Topics include number application, handling data, probability, algebra, graphs, geometry, perimeter, area, volume, constructions. Learners aspiring and aiming for Grades 9 to 6 will study these in more detail at a higher level, along with surds, trigonometry and other applications. The learner's journey will be as follows: an induction and skills review period followed by learning assessed by one or two qualifications. We encourage all learners to take the Higher paper as their final assessment - however for some learners the Foundation paper may be more appropriate and this would still be a possibility. Please contact the college to register on a pre-course assessment session before enrolling to ensure that Maths GCSE is the right course for you.
