This course explores the history of Ancient Rome through the lives of its most celebrated, and notorious emperors. It will include Julius Caesar as the end of the Roman Republic, the Julio-Claudian line (famously covered by 'I Claudius; including Augustus, Caligula and Nero), Domitian, Hadrian, Trajan, Constantine, and Justinian.
