Are you interested in learning about food and how to bake? The Young Bakers Academy at Westminster Kingsway College is a new bakery school for young people. Participants will learn basic bakery techniques and develop their skills in bakery and patisserie. This is a 10 week Saturday cookery course (class times are 9-12) for 13-15 year olds. All ingredients, chef jacket and knives provided. 100.00 GBP per person. Email courseinfo@westking.ac.uk to book your place. Graduation lunch and certificate upon completion for additional nominal fee. Course outline is as follows: - 17th January - Scones/Cup cakes - 24th January - Bread rolls/Fougasse - 31st January - Short paste - Quiche - 7th February - Victoria Sponge - 14th February - Fruit flan - 28th February- Modern Baking - 7th March - Soda bread/Wholemeal bread - 14th March - Puff pastry - 21st March - Choux pastry - 28th March - Graduation
