Westminster Kingsway College Higher Education Team and the CPD Centre Food Services Wing are excited to be launching our Degree programme in Hospitality and Enterprise Management for the Armed Forces. We wanted to include and give credit for the amount of professional development you do and your role in the Armed Forces, so this course has been designed to accredit you for level 4 studies and dive straight in at level 5 & 6. Study patterns - you will study 40 credits per semester -and you will get a FULL HONOURS DEGREE in 3 years. What will I study while on the course? - Year 1 (Level 5) will include: Professional Development and Study Skills, Marketing for Hospitality, Human Resources for Hospitality, Management in Organisations, and Introduction to Finance and Information Systems. - Year 2, Semester 1 (Level 5) will include: Facilities and Contract Management, Research Methods and one option - a choice can be made from Design & Facilities, eBusiness and Web Design, or Small Business and Entrepreneurship - Year 2, Semester 2 (Level 6) will include: Financial & Revenue Management, and Business and Marketing Strategy. - Year 3 (Level 6) will include: Human Resources and Organisational Development, Food Society and Culture, and then a Dissertation module (a double module with a 10,000 word project). How will I study? Online studies are constantly developing but we will continue to use much of the tried and tested methods we have used to date that include the use of the college Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle), wikis, blogs, discussion forums, video presentations, vivas, etc. This will be blended with new technologies as developed and appropriate.
