This BTEC Level 3 Diploma continues on from the Subsidiary Diploma in Sport with Football and is equivalent to two A 'Levels'. It is designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills for a career within the Sports industry. This course is ideal for those who want to pursue the academic study of sport, as well as take part in an extensive enrichment programme run in conjunction with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. Selected students will represent Waltham Forest College at intercollege football competitions. You will learn about different aspects of the study of Sport, from sports injuries to fitness training and programming and the psychology of sport. We have high success rates, in line with national averages and access to excellent sports facilities What will I Study: You will study a range of subject within the realm of sport such as:. Sports Injuries. Leadership in Sport. Exercise for Specific Groups. Sport Psychology. Sport Development. English and/or Maths. There will also be an opportunity for suitable students to achieve a level 1 national governing body certificate such as FA level What can I do after the course: The BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport is equivalent to 2 A 'levels which can ultimately lead to employment or entry to a foundation degree at university
