Interactive Media BTEC Diploma* Level 3, is the first year of an 18 unit (180 credits) course studied over two years, just like an A level programme and is equivalent to 3 A levels. Year one consists of a 90 credit programme. After year one most students will enrol onto year 2 and complete a full BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma, ensuring progression to university level courses, higher apprenticeships or employment. The course develops skills in a significant and growing area of the creative industries. The course covers all types of animation, web design, drawing, graphics, computer games design, magazine design, illustration, comic design, sound, and many other media based products such as Apps for mobiles and videos for mobile devices. Students will work on a range of 'live' briefs developing student's portfolio and skills. The course will also give you the opportunity to appreciate the work of other artists and designers and to learn about associated professional practice. You will also have the chance to meet and work with visiting professional specialists, with visits to museums and exhibitions. You will also have the rewarding opportunity to exhibit your final major project in an end of year show and at the Winns Gallery. What will I Study: Website design. Image manipulation.
