During this half day workshop learners will: explore various ways to apply glaze to bisque fired pots; explore glaze on glaze techniques, and oxides with glaze techniques and explore wax resist techniques with glazing.The workshop is designed to build glazing skills and techniques, increase efficiency and give an insight on solving glaze problems. Learners will arrange with the tutor when to collect their fired pots at a later date.

Learners should bring an apron, an old towel and wear casual clothing with comfortable closed toe shoes without high heels. Bring along any sources of inspiration such as magazine cut outs which will aid in the progress of your ideas, along with a notebook or sketchbook and pencil.Learners should also have at least 2 pots which have been bisque fired and ready to glaze. These should have been produced on an earlier workshop or taster day and should be made of stoneware clay.Please bring refreshments or change for the coffee machine onsite.
