Pottery & Claywork - Festival of Tea Lights

This Pottery workshop will focus on building Tea Lights in time for the Festival of Lights or Diwali. Come and join in this fun workshop and share the exciting traditions of this Hindu festival. During the day we will look at different possibilities of traditional Indian T-lights in Terracotta clay, specifically made for Diwali. The tutor will be giving a demonstration and the learners will follow by making T-lights with the tutor's guidance, in their own designs and interpretation.

Entry requirements

Learners should bring an apron, an old towel and wear casual clothing with comfortable closed toe shoes without high heels. Bring along any sources of inspiration such as magazine cut outs which will aid in the progress of your ideas, along with a notebook or sketchbook and pencil.
