French - Stage 1 - Term 3

The aim of the course is to introduce basic phrases and language for use in common real life situations. Typical topics covered at Stage 1 may include: • greetings, giving personal and family information; • ordering food and drink; • shopping for food and clothes. Different topics are covered each term. Sessions are lively and varied with goals tailored to individual needs. The emphasis is on speaking and listening, with pair and group activities to maximise opportunities to speak in the language.
