A short taster course to study seascapes in the studio. Working from photographs or similar found images of seascapes, we will look at composition, colour, measurement, texture and tone. Trying different techniques and colour ranges to convey different atmospheres and the effect of light on the seascape. Gain confidence in using both drawing and painting materials and be encouraged to take part in group discussions. With access to one to one support the overall aim is to help you develop and complete a seascape using the techniques practised above.

Bring whatever drawing & water based painting materials you may already have purchased such as a basic set of acrylic or watercolour paints (as many colours as possible) including paper, brushes, pencils, palette, tissues and water jar. Also please bring in some of your own photographic images or similar of favourite seascapes.
