Drawing & Painting - Exploring Animal Portraits

Workshop will establish a few basic methods of drawing through the use of sketchbooks. How to draw animals in their most basic form using geometric shapes. You will also practice these skills in completing an Animal Portrait. You will work from photos or images and also learn how to enlarge from images. Basic techniques using Oil Pastel or Acrylic Paint will be covered and how to create animal fur or feather effects. You will gain confidence in using materials and review work through group and one to one support. Overall aim is to help you develop techniques and methods and to encourage you to join a longer course in order to develop further.
