Ever had the itch to draw and paint? This is the class for you. The course will introduce you to a range of basic methods of drawing & painting through the use of sketchbook, photographs, found images or direct observation. You will learn to distinguish the use of tone, colour, composition and perspective Gain confidence in using both drawing and painting materials and be encouraged to take part in group discussionsHave access to one to one support The overall aim is to help you develop personal expression through a mixture of practice, discussion and demonstration techniques.

Entry requirements

Bring whatever drawing & painting materials you may already have purchased, or a pad of A3 cartridge paper, soft grade of pencils (4B or 6B), soft rubber and/or a graphite stick for the first session. Materials and resources you will need through the course will be discussed at induction.
