Floristry - Summer Nights

This practical course will introduce you to the art of arranging flowers or summer nights … and days. You will need to bring your own floristry scissors or secateurs, flowers, greenery and mechanics (that's flower foam, containers and so on - some of these will be available to buy from the tutor, by prior arrangement). This course is offered in partnership with Julie Davies Flower Workshops., , Learn how to:, , • condition/prepare flowers for use, ensuring their longevity, • design and create a tissue paper pom-poms and cupcake flowers, • design and create a hanging pomander, • design and create a table arrangement around a hurricane lamp, , Students should budget £10-15 per session for flowers. Buying flowers from the supermarket and supplementing these with greenery from your garden is a cost effective way of providing the necessary course materials., , Mechanics will be available to purchase week by week from the tutor - floral foam, dishes, and so on., Anyone with an interest in flower arranging

Scissors, Flowers, greenery and mechanics - to be advised on a week by week basis, Notebook and pen (optional), Camera (optional), , WEEK 1, , We'll be creating tissue paper pompoms (optional) and tiny arrangements in cupcake cases.
