Come and make a novelty cake, learn how to cut and shape a sponge cake, cover with sugarpaste and decorate. You will make four different cakes showing different decorating techniques., , This course does require you to make cakes for some of the projects (recipes will be provided), , By the end of the course the student will be able to:, • Cut and shape a cake, • Cover cake and board with sugarpaste, • Model decorations, This course is suitable for students who are new to making Novelty Cakes or those who have some experience.

Please bring with you to the first lesson an apron and a tea towel, a slab of Madeira cake (from supermarket) 1 kg white sugarpaste, (also known as roll out fondant, this too can be bought from a supermarket 10" cake board, 10" cake box, roll of clingfilm.
