You will be introduced to the craft of handmade jewellery making using Silver Metal Clay and you will have the opportunity to make either a pendant or a pair of earrings. This course uses hand tools and basic forming techniques and does not include soldering. The tutor will demonstrate basic techniques related to the materials, such as: applying a texture to the silver clay or adding wire to create simple patterns. Students will progress on to making their own textured pendant or earrings and given the knowledge they need to polish and finish their pieces if this cannot be completed on the day. , , By the end of this course you should be able to:, , - use precious metal clay to create a pendant or pair of earrings, - know how to apply a texture to the clay, - know how to add wire decoration to the clay, - know how to polish and finish the work, , There is no qualification for this course., This course is for those who would like to learn how to make memory wire bangles and bracelets.
