Video Editing with Premiere Elements - Introduction

This course introduces students to the basics of creating and editing movies, using Adobe Premiere Elements. Premiere Elements is the movie equivalent of Photoshop Elements and is one of the best-selling videa editing software packages in the world. Camcorder, D-SLR, ordinary camera with video capability and smartphone - can all be used when filming movie footage., At the end of the course you will be more able to take good movie pictures with a mobile phone, digital camera or camcorder and how to edit them and add titles and music. , Topics include: filming moving images; avoiding pitfalls;importing the footage into your computer; learning how to use Premiere Elements; Adults who wish to learn how to make simple movies with the help of a computer. A working knowledge of Microsoft windows is essential. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another person, please ask to speak with the Programme Manager.

Entry requirements

The equipment you have used to take your videos e.g video camcorder, camera or phone each week. A notebook and pen may be useful plus a USB memory stick can help if you want to to save any files you have created for future reference , and in weeks 6 -10 your own video footage as well., , , Please note:- If you are storing any data/images on transferrable data devices (memory sticks, portable hard drives, etc), please make sure that you have back-up files saved elsewhere and when removing devices have followed the 'safely removing hardware' guidelines on the PC.
